Name: Evian Mullen Main Sport: Alpine Ski Racing Birthdate: May 26, 1997 Hometown: Prince George, BC Current town: Prince George, BC Current School: DP Todd Secondary & Canadian Sport School - Northern BC Equipment: Volk, POC, Tecnica, Marker Sponsor: Ruckus Ski, Board and bike shop http://www.ruckuspg.ca My Story: Ever since the young age of two and a half I have been on skis and loving every moment of it. My first racing experience started in the Nancy Green ski league, which I joined when I was five years old. I don't remember to much about my experience skiing when I was younger but the stories that are told seem to describe my passion. My dad tells a story about my little munchkin skiing days that is a representation of how I feel at my best skiing. It was the first day that I was off my doglike leash. It's so your parents can hold on to you so you don't loose complete control down the mountain. Of course my ultimate reaction was to B-line it with my arms straight out beside me. Being the light little kid I was, I thankfully didn't get going to fast. My dad skied up beside me takes a look at me and asks, "Hey Ev why are your eyes closed?" My reply to this sitution was, "Dad, I'm flying." Skiing has been my obsession ever since. I love getting up everyday and being able to chase the clock down a mountain. Although in my sport I have not found much success within my results on the snow. Learning from consistent failure has been an experience that has made me dig deeper within myself to work as hard as I can to form a better athlete and person. I love competing in sports and reaching my goals in the gym at Canadian sports school. Knowing that I have put hard work and results in gym training is a win for me. Although I am very passionate about skiing and wish to do it for the rest of my life.. I am open to putting my abilities to new sports. The reason I would do this is to open up my potential and have more of a chance to be successful in sport. |
